National Space Centre
The National Space Centre really is out of this world! This museum presents space science and astronomy in a unique and engaging manner, with galleries that include the impressive Rocket Tower and the UK’s biggest domed planetarium. You can visit here alone or with your flatmates; either way you’ll have a blast! Open between 10am-4pm on weekdays and 10am-5pm on weekends.
Bradgate Park
This park is a must see spot in Leicester, especially on those sunnier days! With over 850 acres of greenery, Bradgate Park is the perfect spot for a stroll and picnic. Here you’ll find a lot of wildlife roaming freely such as the beautiful deer. If you love learning about historic events, then this is the place to see. You can learn about the ruins of Bradgate House, the history of Bradgate House and about the park itself.
Leicester Museum and Art Gallery
Found on New Walk in Leicester just down the road from Student Beehive’s Renaissance House, this museum covers all things science, history and art. Leicester Museum and Art Gallery has been open since 1849 and showcases international and local art.
Abbey Park
Abbey Park is a public park where you'll find the River Soar. You can explore the Abbey and the ruins of Cavendish House or even go rowing in the lake. It's a great spot to go to if you need a quiet break after a long day of studying.
